History of the Castle
The Castle of Olost was destroyed during the war "dels remences" and has only recently been reconstructed. Both the Castle and its adjoining Manor House have been newly gardened, walled, and decorated on the inside in a peculiar English-inspired fashion.
As its name implies, Mas del Castell d'Olost was the next-door masia where the masters of the Castle of Olost de Lluçanès had their living quarters. It is made of stone and its original structure remains intact. Recently restored as a rural boarding house, it now gives shelter to anyone who cares for beautiful landscapes, nature, fauna, starlit skies-in short, a peaceful retreat to spend a few days in the company of these age-old stones.
